Waiting (again) for the Ripening

OCD Crow is impatient, often easily agitated, desirous of constant process and creation. She thinks of the Jorie Graham line: “I am a frequency, current flies through. One has to ride the spine.” Mid-August the heat disallows this speed, this intensity. Then the crow tussles with herself, questions motives, intent, predictable rhythms & routines. It’s ok, she has to keep saying, every day can’t be full of bursting, some days are slow, trembling on the edge of being ready or just inhabiting their green spaces before fruition. Look at the shapes instead, the traceries, stay in the shade and abide.
